Dr. P B Sivaraman

The eminent and well-known urologist Dr. Prof. P.B. Sivaraman has left behind a legacy of urologists who were taught by him and are pioneers in their fields across the nation. Dr. P.B. Sivaraman is a senior urologist who had his training in the UK, Poland, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. He has also worked in that nation. He was recognised by MGR Medical University, Chennai, with the Doctor of Science (D.Sc) degree for his pioneering work in kidney transplantation in India. He has held the presidency of several of India's top professional urology organisations, including the Madras Urological Society and the Tamil Nadu Pondicherry Urological Society. He is also a founding member of COPE, an organisation dedicated to researching and raising awareness of prostate cancer. He was a professor and the head of the department of urology at Madras Medical College, one of the top universities in the nation.
