BIOGRAPHY

As a colon and rectal surgeon, Patrick Charlebois, MD, joined the MUHC section of general surgery in 2003. He currently serves as the Montreal General Hospital's Site Director for the Department of Surgery. At McGill, he is an assistant professor of oncology and surgery. His areas of expertise include anorectal surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, and the surgical and endoscopic treatment of colorectal cancer. His area of expertise is the utilisation of minimally invasive procedures to manage certain surgical disorders. His primary areas of interest in research are multimodal prehabilitation, enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS), minimally invasive surgery, and contemporary management of rectal cancer. At McGill University in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Charlebois received his medical training. Thereafter, he finished his general surgery residency at McGill. He completed his Colon & Rectal Surgery specialised training at the Cook County, University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
