Dr. (Prof.) V.S. Mehta is a leading neurosurgeon in India, with vast experience as the Head of Neurosurgery and the Director of the Neurosciences Centre. Dr. Mehta is a veteran in the area of neurosurgery and one of the best neurosurgeons in the country. He was chosen as the president of both the Neurological Society and the South Asian Neurosurgeons. His work in the fields of Brain Stem Surgery, Brachial Plexus Surgery, Aneurysms, and Spinal Tumor Surgery has earned him international acclaim. He is a well-known Brain Tumor Surgeon in India, having treated countless Indian and international patients for brain problems all over the world. At Paras Hospital, Dr. V.S. Mehta is the Chairman and HOD of Neurosciences. He was instrumental in the construction and founding of Paras Hospital's Best Neurosciences Institute. This has become the first hospital in the region to be equipped with Image Guided Brain Tumor Navigation Technology for brain tumours and low-grade gliomas, intra-operative monitoring system for neurosurgery, Transcranial Doppler, to name a few, as well as the latest technology and medical expertise to detect and treat all types of neurological and neurosurgical ailments under the direction of Dr. Mehta.
