Dr. Ramachandran Narayanamenon

Dr. Ramachandran Narayanamenon received his MBBS from the Government Medical College in Thrissur in April 1997 and his MS in General Surgery from the Government Medical College in Madurai (March 2001). Following his MS, he completed DNB in General Surgery (May 2002) and DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi (May 2008). He completed a Senior Clinical Fellowship at Cambridge University Hospitals' Multi Organ Transplant Unit in the UK (March 2013-April 2014) and got experience in various parts of patient care for liver, pancreas, small bowel, and multi-visceral transplantation. Prior to joining Rajagiri, he was a Clinical Associate Professor in GI and Solid Organ Transplant Services at AIMS Kochi for over 12 years, where he was a key figure in Complex hepato-biliary surgery, adult and paediatric liver transplantation, Pancreas-kidney transplantation, intestinal transplantation, and Robotic liver donor hepatectomies. He also received advanced vascular surgery training and served on the faculty of the vascular surgery department at AIMS - Kochi. In 2018, he also obtained training in robotic liver donor surgery from Severance Hospital in Seoul, and he is regarded as a pioneer in live donor robotic liver surgery in India.
