Dr. Rashed Al Shaeel

Dr. Rashed received his education in Montreal, Canada. He spent over two decades working as the Chief of the Orthopaedic Department at the Military and Defense Hospital in Bahrain and the Mafraq Hospital in the United Arab Emirates after receiving training and a fellowship from Canada. Dr. Rashed performed the first minimally invasive surgery and pivot knee surgery in the Middle East. He was honoured for his outstanding work in orthopaedic surgery, particularly in sports and reconstruction. He has treated well-known athletes in numerous sports and nations over the years. He has developed a subspecialty in sports injuries. Dr. Rashed previously served on the DOH's Examination Panel for Orthopedics and the UAE Medical Board. Because of his outstanding accomplishments in orthopaedics and his essential contributions to the community, he has received the special award and honour from Gulf Medical University. His specialties include minimally invasive knee and hip surgery, sports injuries, ankle, foot, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgery, osteoporosis in athletes, stress fractures in athletes, joint discomfort, paediatric fractures, and injuries during pregnancy.
