BIOGRAPHY

The birthplace of Mr. Barazi is Copenhagen, Denmark. Before enrolling at King's College Hospital's medical program in London, he attended Winchester College. He qualified in 1996 and finished his military duty in Toulouse, France with the 14th Parachute Regiment. The Atkinson Morley Hospital in Wimbledon, London, where he worked under Henry Marsh, Simon Stapleton, Francis Johnston, Anthony Bell, and Anne Moore, appointed him Senior House Officer when he had returned to the city. 2011 saw the appointment of him as a consultant neurosurgeon at King's College Hospital. In addition to performing more than 700 instances of pituitary surgery, he also specializes in skull base surgery, face pain (including trigeminal and glossopharyngeal neuralgia), hemifacial spasm, and spine. Together with Dr. Giorgio Lambru, he established the neurosurgical facial pain service at King's College Hospital and St. Thomas' Hospital. He is one of the rare surgeons who only uses endoscopes to do microvascular decompression.
