Prof Charles Ng

He has dedicated his professional life to serving the public since 1965, when he returned from completing his medical study in Cambridge, UK. He received his formal training at KKH, SGH, and St. Mary's Hospital in London to become a medical specialist in O&G. After departing from NUS in 1986 to establish the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the request of the MOH, he worked for SGH. He has performed his administrative obligations as Head of Department, Chairman of the Division of Surgery, Chairman of the Medical Board, and Associate Dean in addition to his professional services in O&G. He has been elected as the President of the O&G Society of Singapore, the Chairman of the O&G, Academy of Medicine, and the Chairman of the Singapore Representative Committee of the Royal College of O&G. Since 2002, he has resumed his clinical practise at SGH. Along with providing clinical care, he has also taught medical students and postgraduate doctors and participated in research projects, particularly while attending NUS.
