He joined the Department of Cardiology, G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi, as an Asst. Professor in 1985 after receiving his doctoral degree (DM), and climbed to the post of Professor at the early age of 44. Presented lectures as a Guest Speaker at several international meetings, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), TCT (USA), Euro-PCR (Paris), Singapore Live (Singapore), Angioplasty Summit (Korea), CCT and TOPIC (Japan), Vascular Leader Summits (Bangkok, Shanghai, and Malaysia), and the Pan African Meeting (Bangkok, Shanghai, and Malaysia) (Tunisia).
