Established in 1958 by Eng. Mohammad Ibrahim Ali-Ahmad, NMC As Salama Hospital is a general hospital. Originally named Khobar Paediatric and Maternity Hospital, it was later renamed as "As Salama Hospital" in 1965. In 2019, the hospital joined the NMC Group and changed its name to NMC As Salama Hospital. It is the first private hospital in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) awarded NMC Specialty Hospital Al Salam accreditation in 2019.
