Profile (Overview)
Five hospitals make up the military medical complex known as King Hussein Medical City, which is located in Amman, Jordan. It is associated with the Jordanian Royal Medical Services (JMRS), an organisation of the Jordanian Armed Forces tasked with providing medical care and health protection to Jordanians in hospitals as well as to those in the security services, retired military personnel, and their families. JRMS has a significant network of hospitals throughout Jordan's several provinces. Queen Alia Heart Institute is a specialized hospital with 170 beds that opened its doors in 1983.

Dr. Salah Altarabsheh, a board-certified cardiac surgeon who was born in Jordan, is employed as a consultant cardiac surgeon at Queen Alia Heart Institute. Salah completed a two-year residency in advanced cardiac surgery at the Mayo Clinic Foundation in Rochester, Minnesota, and a one-year fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute. In terms of science, he is intrigued by developments in mitral valve repair and coronary artery revascularization. Salah has a distinguished history of academic and scientific achievements, including several publications in highly esteemed journals, numerous presentations at national and international conferences, and awards for his research exploits.
