In the previous 29 years, The Specialty Hospital has treated more than 6 million patients, including 330,000 surgical procedures, 1,690,000 ER visits, and 615,000 in-patient admissions for people of 100 different nationalities. It is the first and only hospital to win two consecutive rounds of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence. It has received five consecutive rounds of accreditation from Joint Commission International (JCI). It is the first hospital in Jordan to get six cycles of accreditation from the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC). The Joint Commission International has recognised the first hospital in Jordan and the seventh in the world as a centre of excellence for cardiac disease-specific certification in acute myocardial infarction and heart failure. The Arab Hospitals Federation has recognised it as the best hospital in the Arab world for patient-centered care. It is the first hospital in Jordan to have Medical Tourism Certification from MTQUA, and for the years 2018, 2019, it was ranked as the third best hospital in the world for medical tourism.
