Assoc Prof John Yuen Shyi Peng

Under an Australian Government scholarship, Associate Professor John SP Yuen studied medicine at the University of Melbourne and earned a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; BS) degree in 1996. He is currently the head and senior consultant of the department of urology. He received advanced urological training in Singapore, where he also earned membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000 and a Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore (NUS). In 2004, he was accepted as a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine and as a Member of the Urologist Chapter of the Singapore College of Surgeons. Additionally engaged in undergraduate and graduate education, Dr. Yuen. At the NUS, he oversees candidates for the PhD and Master's degrees. He has teaching positions at the Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore as well as the Yong Loo Lin (YLL) School of Medicine at NUS (Clinical Associate Professor). He served as the Chairman of the National Urology Exit Examination Committee and is a judge for the NUS YLL School of Medicine's Final MBBS examination (2014 - 2015).
