Assoc Prof Low Chyi Yeu David

Assoc Adj Prof. David Low received his training at the Irish Royal College of Surgeons. In 2000, he received his medical degree (MBBCh), and he then went back to Singapore for his basic surgery postgraduate study. His basic surgical training was completed in 2004, and the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh awarded him membership in general surgery (MRCS Ed). He also finished his Master of Medicine in Surgery (MMed), which was awarded to him by the National University of Singapore, during this time. Following his interest in neurosurgery, Adj Assoc Prof Low completed his advanced surgical training at the National Neuroscience Institute (Singapore), where he worked at the Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and KK Women's and Children's. In Edinburgh, after completing his training in neurosurgery, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). He received a scholarship from the Ministry of Health's Health Manpower Development Program (HMDP) in 2010, and in 2011 he enrolled in a one-year fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery at Toronto, Canada's renowned Hospital for Sick Children.
