BIOGRAPHY

At Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Dr. Keith Goh does neurosurgery. His areas of expertise include paediatric neurosurgery, neuro-oncology (tumours of the brain and spinal cord), stroke and stroke risk assessment, minimally invasive spine surgery, chronic pain management, and patient functional recovery. In 2001 and 2003, he oversaw surgical teams in Singapore that completed intricate procedures to separate three pairs of conjoined twins from Nepal, Iran, and South Korea. At Mount Elizabeth Hospital, he serves as a consultant neurosurgeon at the moment. Dr. Goh received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1985, followed by paediatric neurosurgery specialised training in New York and a neurosurgical residency in Hong Kong. He was the first neurosurgeon to treat cerebral palsy with stem cells. He has more than 30 years of medical experience. He holds an honorary associate professorship in neurosurgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Prince of Wales Hospital. His bibliography contains 104 abstracts and talks on his numerous scientific interests, including brain and spinal cord tumours, stroke, and neurologic problems in children, in addition to 40 original papers, 10 book chapters, and 40 abstracts.
