Clin Assoc Prof Sunny Shen

The Head and Senior Consultant of the Oculoplastic Department of the Singapore National Eye Centre is Clinical Associate Professor Sunny Shen. Additionally, he oversees the SNEC Eye Clinic at CGH. Clinical Associate Professor Shen earned his medical degree in ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore after graduating with honours from the University of Hong Kong. The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the College of Ophthalmologists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore both admitted him as a Fellow after he successfully finished his ophthalmology studies and received specialised accreditation. Clinical Associate Professor Shen continued to explore oculoplastic surgery speciality development in addition to general ophthalmology. The MOH Health Healthcare Manpower Development Program (HMDP) scholarship was given to him after he finished his fellowship at the Singapore National Eye Centre so that he could pursue additional training in adnexal surgery at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom. Clinical Associate Professor Shen's interests extend beyond general oculoplastic surgery to lacrimal surgery, orbital surgery, thyroid eye disease, orbital trauma, paediatric oculoplastic surgery, congenital anophthalmia, and lid oncology. He operates his service out of the Changi General Hospital, the KK Women's and Children's Hospital, and the Singapore National Eye Centre.
