Dr. Barry Stein

The Center for Colon and Rectal Surgery at the McGill University Health Center is run by Barry L. Stein, MDCM. At McGill University, he is an assistant professor of surgery and oncology. His areas of expertise include the surgical management of colon and rectal cancer, endoscopic management of polyps, and inflammatory bowel disease. Since 1992, he has used a lot of laparoscopic procedures to treat various surgical disorders. His areas of interest in research include minimally invasive surgery, Improved Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), prehabilitation in the deconditioned patient, and preoperative radiation for rectal cancer in a watchful waiting programme.
