Dr. Lorenzo Ferri

Heading the McGill University Program in Upper GI Cancer, Dr. Lorenzo Ferri holds the David S. Mulder Chair in Surgery, is a clinical scientist in the Departments of Surgery and Oncology, and specialises in the care of complicated foregut tumours. With this, he has led a number of projects aimed at enhancing patient care and carefully coordinating basic, translational, and clinical scientific research in gastric and esophageal surgery outcomes. With the goal of finding and carrying out research ideas in the area of stomach and esophageal cancer, he founded the McGill University Foregut Malignancy Research Group, a multidisciplinary group of researchers and doctors.
