BIOGRAPHY
Eitan Amir, MD, is an associate professor in the University of Toronto's Department of Medicine and a medical oncologist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. He is the Site Head for Breast Medical Oncology and the Executive Director of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre's Medical Oncology and Hematology Fellowship programme. Also, he is the Vice-Chair of the Cancer Research Ethics Board at University Health Network as well as the Systemic Treatment Lead for Toronto Central South for Cancer Care Ontario. Treatment of breast cancer and the side effects of anti-cancer medications are two of Dr. Amir's clinical specialties. His scholarly interests include meta-analysis, outcomes research, and clinical trial methods.
At the University of Manchester in the UK, Dr. Amir earned his medical degree and received training in internal medicine and medical oncology. At the University of Toronto, he later earned a Doctorate in clinical epidemiology. Dr. Amir has authored more than 250 books, book chapters, and abstracts that have been published.
