BIOGRAPHY
At the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, Dr. Asmis is a medical oncologist with a focus on gastrointestinal malignancies and sarcoma. At the University of Ottawa, he finished his medical training in internal medicine and medical oncology. At the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he also finished a residency in gastrointestinal oncology.
Dr. Asmis is the Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, the Director of the Fellowship Program, and the Head of the Gastrointestinal Disease Site Group at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre. He is also a member of the GI illness site group for Cancer Care Ontario.
