Dr. Govini Balasubramani

As a skilled cardiothoracic and heart and lung transplant surgeon, Dr. Govini specialises in treating patients with heart failure of all etiologies, chronic asthma, and chronic lung diseases that require surgical management. Dr. Govini received his training from top transplant surgeons in South Korea, Hong Kong, Austria, and Germany. One of the first surgeons in India to create a heart and lung transplant programme, Dr. Govini performs transplant surgery on patients ranging in age from 17 to 74. He specialises in live lung transplants, which involve combining the lobes of two separate donors and are frequently carried out on young patients.
