Dr Kalpesh Besherdas

At The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trusts, Dr. Kalpesh Besherdas is a consultant physician and gastroenterologist who works at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. He works as a gastroenterologist and senior honorary lecturer at the University College London Hospital and Medical School. In his capacity as the undergraduate lead clinician for medicine at The Barnet Hospital, Dr. Besherdas is actively involved in educating and instructing students. He participates in the London Deanery's Specialist Training Committee for Gastroenterology. In 1991, Dr. Besherdas graduated from the University of London's St. George's Hospital Medical School with a bachelor's degree. As a member of the London Deanery, Dr. Besherdas completed his gastroenterology higher education studies in the North East Thames area.He spent three years as a trainee at the center for gastroenterology and liver unit at the Royal Free Hospital. Dr. Besherdas also had a general hospital practice in the North Thames area. He regularly manages patients with gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, hiatus hernia, oesophagitis, motility disorders of the oesophagus, gastric and duodenal ulceration, coeliac disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, colonic polyps, diverticulitis, bowel cancer screening, haemorrhoids, gallbladder disorders, fatty liver and other disorders of liver function including obstructive jaundice and pancreatic cancer.
