BIOGRAPHY

A Consultant Nephrologist or Kidney Specialist, Dr. Richard Hull has his NHS practice at St. George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. At Cambridge University, he pursued a career in medicine. As part of the South Thames Renal Programme, he finished his specialty training in renal medicine. As a Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD Fellow at the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre, Imperial College, he finished his PhD during this time. The majority of Dr. Hull's outpatient practice involves treating patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), diabetic nephropathy, and hypertension in addition to his area of expertise in autoimmune renal disease. He oversees cohorts of dialysis patients at Kingston's St. George's Hospital. Dr. Hull is the NIHR South Thames Clinical Research's Speciality Group Lead for Renal Disorders. His clinical research interests are individuals with autoimmune renal illness, and he is a seasoned researcher for clinical investigations in renal anemia, dialysis, and IgA nephropathy, primary FSGS, and lupus nephritis. He serves on the steering committees for several quality improvement workstreams, including the CKD prevention and vascular access workstreams, as a member of the London Kidney network. He is working with primary care to enhance the management of chronic kidney disease for all patients in South West London as part of the Renal Network.
