Dr Stephan Brincat

As an investigator for several clinical trials, Dr. Qasim continues to be involved in the field of cardiac research. Dr. Qasim performs all procedures involving coronary intervention and has a high level of skill in interventional cardiology. He received an interventional fellowship and spent a year in Milan focusing on cutting-edge research and developing new methods with an elite team. He continues to be involved in research and the creation of courses for medical professionals interested in interventional cardiology. Dr. Brincat is a consultant specialist in nephrology (kidney medicine) and general medicine who has been practicing since 2011. He is now employed by Shirley Oaks Hospital in Croydon and St. George's University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London. He completed his medical studies at the University of Malta in 1999 and was granted membership in the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2003. He then relocated to the UK to complete his general medicine and nephrology specialty training. His specialized training took place in the South London Deanery at some of the most renowned hospitals in the nation, including the Guy's and St. Thomas's Renal and Transplant Centre, the King's College NHS Foundation Trust Renal Unit, and the St. George's NHS Foundation Trust Renal and Transplant Unit. He finished his training in 2010, and the Royal College of Physicians accepted him as a fellow in 2015. In addition to acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, haematuria, proteinuria, hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetic kidney disease, polycystic kidney disease, and glomerulonephritis are also topics on which he can provide advise. He is especially interested in applying established methods to address chronic renal disease.
