Dr. Sukumar Mehta

Dr. Sukumar works at Shalby Hospitals in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He has 33 years of expertise in cardiothoracic surgery and has been practising in Gujarat for the previous 24 years. Dr. Sukumar was the first to launch a coronary bypass surgery (CABG) programme in Gujarat in 1993. He also worked for the Gujarat government and people at the U N Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedabad. Participated in state, national, and international conferences, symposia, and workshops in India and overseas. He attended the American Association for Thoracic Surgery annual meetings in San Diego, California in 1996 and Toronto, Canada in 2003. Attended a workshop on advanced cardiothoracic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, USA in 2002.
