BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Tamer El-Husseiny is a highly skilled consultant urologist with a primary focus in general urology and a subspecialty in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of benign prostatic diseases and kidney stones. He practices endourological surgery (minimally invasive surgery) and is based at Charing Cross Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. His surgical specialties include the care of upper tract urothelial malignancies, ureteroscopy and laser stone fragmentation, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), Urolift, and Rezum. He is also skilled in treating other anomalies of the upper tract, such as strictures and extrinsic blockage of the ureter, and inserting a variety of urological stents. Mr. El-Husseiny began his primary surgical and urological training after earning his medical degree with honors, and he then accepted a position as an assistant lecturer in urology. Later, he continued his education by completing urology training programs in both London and the West Midlands. He pursued a two-year specialized endourology fellowship at St. Bartholomew's Hospital to advance his research and training. The fellowship was given to him by the Endourological Society. His fellowship had a focus on treating complicated stone disease.
