Profile (Overview)
The Nikan speciality and subspecialty hospital in Tehran, Iran, is situated on an area measuring around 35000 square metres and was built in 2010. This sixteen-story hospital with 102 beds first opened its doors in 2011. Nikan Hospital-Hotel was formally inaugurated on June 27th, 2011. Nikan became the first private hospital in Iran to get the Green Award International certification during the first year of review, receiving the first high rank in accreditation and patient safety. As of the 1990s, Iran's health system adopted a customer- and patient-centered strategy to improve the standard of care. The patient and the client were seen as the core of services in this novel and contemporary approach.

Treatment of acute strokes, the management of intracranial atherosclerotic disease, brain aneurysms, carotid and vertebral artery stenting, arteriovenous malformations and dural arteriovenous fistulas, and arteriovenous malformations are clinical interests. In addition to imaging selection for patients with acute ischemic stroke prior to mechanical intervention, research interests also include risk factor evaluation in triage of unruptured brain aneurysms.
