This programme, run by Santhigiri as a part of the "Private Voluntary Organizations for Health Services Scheme" of the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, covered the entire district of Palakkad. This hospital offers "Ayurveda Surgery" like "Kshara Sootra" and "Kshara Karma" for piles in addition to Panchakarma treatments. Only this hospital in India offers the "Kshara Karma" method of treating piles.
