BIOGRAPHY

A/Prof Au received his education at the National Neuroscience Institute after graduating from the National University of Singapore. He undertook a two-year Movement Disorders Fellowship at the Pacific Parkinson's Research Centre in Vancouver, Canada, following the completion of his Advanced Specialist Training. The Toronto Western Hospital in Toronto, Canada, is where he received more training in electrophysiology for movement disorders. The clinical treatment of individuals with Parkinson disease and movement disorders is A/Prof Au's area of expertise. He has received training in injecting patients with botulinum toxin for a variety of movement disorders, including spasticity, dystonia, hemifacial spasm, and blepharospasm. His areas of interest in the study of Parkinson's disease include electrophysiology and functional neuroimaging.
