BIOGRAPHY

An expert in gastro-oesophageal, colorectal, pancreatic, liver, bile duct, and neuroendocrine tumors, Dr. Daniel Krell is a consultant oncologist. He has practical experience with immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and chemotherapy. The clinical lead for treating patients with cancer with an unclear primary is Dr. Krell. He works at the Royal Free Trust as a part of the interdisciplinary team treating gastro-oesophageal and hepatobiliary cancer. At The Royal Free Hospital, he also serves as the clinical lead for neuroendocrine tumor oncology. At University College and the Royal Free Hospitals in London, he received his oncology training. He earned a DPhil in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford's Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, in addition to his primary medical degree, and was supported by Cancer Research UK and HCA. He also has a Bachelor's degree in immunology and microbiology. In order to better understand how genetic changes in the genes responsible for cellular metabolism contribute to the development of cancer, his research included the building of models.
