BIOGRAPHY

Breast cancer is Professor Andrew Tutt's area of expertise as a consultant clinical oncologist. He works in private practice, is a professor of oncology at King's College London School of Medicine, and is stationed at Guy's Hospital Breast Unit. He earned his medical degree in 1990, then finished his postgraduate training at many hospitals in the UK. He received a Doctoral Research Training Fellowship at The Institute of Cancer Research in London after finishing his clinical oncology training there. There, he earned his PhD in cancer biology. Professor Tutt has authored numerous research publications on breast cancer and is an active participant in clinical research. The 'triple negative' and breast cancers linked to BRCA1 and BRCA2 are among his key research interests. He has directed numerous international pharmacological therapy trials and research projects in these fields. At important cancer medicine conferences in Europe and the United States, he is frequently asked to lecture. He is a participant in the St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Consensus Panel, which creates recommendations for breast cancer care. Additionally, he is a member of a UK team testing novel breast radiation methods.
