BIOGRAPHY

Renal specialist Dr. Ng Tsun Gun provides a wide variety of general nephrology services. He offers specialised care in the management and treatment of resistant or difficult hypertension, glomerular diseases, diabetic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, complex urinary tract infections, and urinary calculi at his clinics in Mount Elizabeth Novena and Gleneagles Hospitals. He also looks after patients who need kidney transplants, peritoneal dialysis, and haemodialysis. Dr. Ng finished his internal medicine specialty specialisation after receiving his MBBS from the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Medicine in 1998. (MRCP UK, 2003). He received specialist accreditation in 2007 after completing his advanced renal medicine training. He then began a one-year fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, thanks to the Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Award. His education there concentrated on the most recent developments in dialysis treatment, such as home dialysis and night dialysis. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2009, and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore awarded him Fellowship the following year. Dr. Ng is very dedicated to the field of nephrology in addition to his clinic and patients. His third chosen term as Honorary Secretary began when he joined the Singapore Society of Nephrology's Executive Committee in 2008. He received the Courage Star Award from the National Healthcare Group in 2003 for conquering SARS, as well as Spring Singapore's Excellent Service Award (Silver) in 2005.
