BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Tan Seng Hoe has more than 20 years of expertise as a kidney practitioner. He currently sees patients with a variety of kidney-related illnesses in his clinics at the Mount Elizabeth Novena, Mount Elizabeth, and Gleneagles Hospitals. Dr. Tan Seng Hoe received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (MBBS, 1990). He pursued advanced specialty training in renal medicine at the Division of Nephrology in National University Hospital after finishing his foundational studies in internal medicine. Then, in 2000, he sought additional training in peritoneal dialysis at the Division of Nephrology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA, thanks to a scholarship from the Health Manpower Development Programme.
He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2004 and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2000. Dr. Tan worked as a senior consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital's Renal Medicine Unit before entering private practise. He was instrumental in developing the Unit and later served as its Founding Head.
Dr. Tan is dedicated to the nephrology community in various ways. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a strong proponent of training and shaping future medical professionals. He is a member of the Committee for Renal Medicine Specialist Training.
