Prof James Hui

Prof. James Hui is an expert in both general orthopaedics and the care of orthopaedic issues in children. His special interests include the diagnosis, treatment, and surgery of neuromuscular conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, and Muscular Dystrophy as well as musculoskeletal issues that affect infants and children, such as foot deformities, spinal deformities, limb length discrepancies, and hip dysplasia and dislocation. At the National University of Singapore, Prof. Hui earned his medical degree. He then finished his training in surgery and orthopaedics at the National University Hospital in Singapore. He completed a child orthopaedic fellowship in Australia and has training as a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon. At NUS, Prof. Hui is actively involved in both undergraduate and graduate instruction. He belongs to many professional organisations, including the Singapore Medical Association, the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association, and the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. Research in both clinical and fundamental sciences is vigorously pursued by Prof. Hui.
