Profile (Overview)
Billroth Hospitals was established on November 30th, 1990, with a block of 30 beds by the late Dr. V. Jeganathan. The hospital received a second block with 70 beds after six years. A historic event occurred in 2003 when Billroth acquired the 100-bed multi-specialty Kalliapa Hospitals. Billroth became a 350 bed super-specialty facility in 2007 with the addition of Shenoy Nagar S block. Unfortunately, the founder died a tragic end on May 17, 2007, while he was pursuing his aim of providing affordable, high-quality healthcare. At that point, his son Dr.Rajesh Jegannathan, who was only 26 at the time, had to assume full responsibility and continue to pursue his father's vision. Billroth flourished under his capable leadership and is today recognised as the nation's most skilled and dependable provider of medical care. The first dual CT scan was performed in Tamil Nadu thanks to Dr. Rajesh. He added a number of new departments and changed Billroth Hospital from a Multi-Specialty to a Super Specialty facility. The hospital has established itself as a pioneer in NICU with modern labour ward and Rapid Arc Treatment for Cancer. Dr. Rajesh has also been working on a number of charitable initiatives that provide the destitute and underprivileged with free medical care. He is one man who works hard to maintain everyone's happiness and success within the company because he thinks that everyone's success together is what makes the company successful.
