BNH Hospital | Bangkok , Thailand

Profile (Overview)

In 1996, the brand-new BNH Hospital complex opened for business. Between Silom Road and Sathorn Road, on the same two-acre property, adjacent to Bangkok's business, financial, and entertainment districts, it is surrounded by mature trees and tropical foliage. It is easily accessible by road from every area of the city, as well as by BTS Sky Train and MRT Metro from Sala Daeng Station. With specialists and family doctors fully engaged with their patients from consultation and diagnosis to planning and carrying out treatment, following-up on outcomes, and in surgical cases, post operative cards, BNH Hospital offers the best quality medical care. At the BNH Hospital, the idea of ""the Family Doctor"" is still highly regarded. Originally built to offer nursing care to foreigners, the BNH hospital was once known as the Bangkok Nursing Home Hospital. One of the first private hospitals in the Kingdom of Siam, the hospital was founded by Mr. George Grenville, CMG, the British Ambassador to Thailand (Thailand). In 1901, King Rama VI bestowed a royal charter on the BNH Association, a non-profit organisation, in memory of his father, King Rama V. He also gave money so that the hospital could start treating Thai patients. In order to address the demands of the expanding local and international markets for private health care, theBNH Medical Centre was established in 1991.
