Atta Ghassan, M.D. Atta Al Khaznaji completed his MBChB and medical training at Al Nahrain University in Iraq in 1994. In 2002, the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specialization conferred the Iraqi Board in Neurology (FICMS) upon him. Dr. Atta travelled to the UK in 2005, where he received training in neurological rehabilitation and neurosciences at Queen's Medical Center, Nottingham University Hospital, and Nottingham City Hospital. He began his training in neurosciences at Charing Cross Hospital. In order to continue his neurology practise in renowned private and public healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Al Ain, he relocated to the UAE in 2006. Over the course of his career, he rose to the positions of lecturer and co-examiner for undergraduate medical students. Since 2013, Dr. Atta is working at Burjeel Hospital. Before coming to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Venkitachalam worked for more than 17 years as a professor of cardiology at the Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology in India. He practised medicine in Abu Dhabi for more than ten years at a prestigious government hospital before joining Burjeel Hospital. With a focus on patients with heart rhythm problems, heart failure, and coronary heart disease, he has considerable experience treating all prevalent acute and chronic cardiac illnesses. Dr. Dinesh graduated from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore with an MS in General Surgery in 1997 and from Seth G. S. Medical College and KEM Hospital with an M.Ch. in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery in 1998. In 1995, Dr. Norbert graduated with his MD from the University of Düsseldorf Medical School in Germany. He also holds diplomas in internal medicine (1995) and from the German National Board of Medical Examiners (2001). He then received a Diploma in Hematology and Internal Oncology from the German National Board of Medical Examiners in 2002. Following his residency, Dr. Norbert began working at St. John's Hospital, Düsseldorf Medical School, Germany, in 1996. He played a key role in creating the Stem Cell Transplant Program (peripheral autologous stem cell transplants) during his four-year tenure and concentrated on creating therapies for the full range of oncology and haematology. He relocated to Abu Dhabi in 2004 and served as the head of the oncology department at a reputable government military hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Norbert concentrated on creating chemotherapy regimens for various haematological and malignant tumour types. Additionally, he played a key role in the establishment of the hospital's cancer wing. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Norbert has worked in Germany and the Middle East. Cardiothoracic surgery is Dr. Tarig Ali Mohamed Elhassan's 20-year specialty. He graduated from the Izhevsk Government Medical Academy in Russia with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Diploma in Medicine, and an MBBS (IGMA). Dr. Yassin has worked as a Senior Consultant for Nephrology & Hypertension in a number of hospitals, including Al-Jazeera Hospital, SKMC, and Al-Noor Hospital Airport Road, for more than 40 years. The prestigious Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France, awarded him his Maitre-es Sciences Medicales in Nephrology and Hypertension. He then went on to earn a Certificat d'Etudes Speciales En Nephrologie from Rene D'Escart University (Academie de Paris), a Diplome d'Assistant Etranger in Nephrology from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris, France, and a Diplome He holds the position of Chair of the PD Chapter of the Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation and is an honorary member of numerous academic societies. After completing his residency and earning a Master's Degree in Surgery - Neurosurgery, Prof. Amr El Shawarbi left Alexandria University with an MBBch in 1992. He then started working as an assistant lecturer in 1998. Later, he finished his Ph.D., Fellowship, and Scholarship at Hannover's Nordstadt Hospital. He graduated from Lower Saxony, aka Niedersachsen, with a Ph.D./MD in Neurosurgery and the Facharzt in 2003. (German Board for Neurosurgery). He served as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the International Neuroscience Institute in Hannover, Germany, from October 2006 to the present. In November 2006, Prof. El Shawarbi joined Tawam Hospital as Head of the Neurosurgery Department. He later rose to the position of Medical Director for Neuroscience at SEHA, where he made significant contributions to the fields of complex spine surgery, skull base surgery, paediatric neurosurgery, and neuromodulation. Additionally, Professor El Shawarbi has held the positions of President of the Emirates Neuroscience Society, Vice President of the World Federation of Neuroscience Societies, and President of the Pan Arab Neurosurgical Society.
