In 1988, Dr. Alistair Makin graduated from the University of London. For his knowledge in gastroenterology and in particular for his endoscopic care of pancreatobiliary issues, Dr. Makin is highly regarded. At Manchester Royal Infirmary is where Dr. Makin's NHS practice is located. After completing training and research programs at many London hospitals, including Kings College Hospital and Harefield Hospital, he was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in 1998. Consultant cardiologist Dr. Raveen Kandan has extensive training in both general and interventional cardiology. He is a full-time employee of the Bristol Heart Institute's regional heart attack service and a member of the consultant team that provides round-the-clock emergency care at the Royal United Hospital Bath. In 2005, Raveen graduated with honors from Bristol Medical School and pursued postgraduate cardiology and medical studies in the Southwest. His area of expertise is coronary intervention, which involves treating coronary disease with medications, balloons, and stents. His interventional training included fellowships in Malaysia and Japan, and he has written book chapters, review articles, and presented his work globally. Raveen stands out among other interventional cardiologists since she has a solid background in echo cardiography and is BSE recognized. He is dual accredited in General Internal Medicine and a member of the local pulmonary hypertension team. With such a wide variety of knowledge, he is able to assess patients who are experiencing chest discomfort, dyspnea, palpitations, fainting, and other symptoms completely and thoroughly. David spent his early training in and around Manchester after attending St. Andrews and Manchester Universities. The specialist orthopaedic training he received after that was finished in Yorkshire, including a fellowship in joint replacement surgery in Leeds. He returned home in 2000 thanks to a consultant appointment at the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI). His professional interests have grown along with Manchester's orthopaedic sector. Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC)'s Clinical Director of Urology for the South Sector is Mr. Khaver Qureshi. He has a broad practice treating both men and women with a variety of urological disorders. He is a Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon with a special interest in urological malignancy. In 1992, Mr. Qureshi earned his medical degree from Saint Bartholomew's Medical College in London. Based in London and Birmingham, he received his fundamental surgical training. His doctorate in medicine (MD), which focused on bladder cancer and artificial neural networks, was granted by Newcastle University in 2002 after he was successful in receiving a research funding from the Cancer Research Campaign. Mr. Qureshi was named the West of Scotland Managed Clinical Network's Lead Clinician for Urological Cancer in 2007. He was given the position of Clinical Director for Urology in Glasgow in 2011 and was in charge of rebuilding the relationship between the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). He is very interested in service development, and in 2015, the QEUH under his direction developed robotic urology surgery. He currently serves as the senior member of the renal cancer team at GGC and has a general urology practice in addition to doing upper tract surgeries using open, endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques. At St Thomas' Hospital in London, he was hired as a Plastic Surgery NHS Consultant after completing 12 years of surgical training in London, Cambridge, and Australia. He is a member of a group that offers South East London residents cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Mr. James received his formal education at the renowned McIndoe Surgical Center. His membership in the Medical Protection Society is complete. Mr. James is an expert in facial plastic surgery, breast and abdominal cosmetic surgery, hand and wrist reconstruction, and other aesthetic procedures. Consultant neurosurgeon Mr. Nikolaos Haliasos treats neurological diseases of the spine and the brain. At the University of Rome, Mr. Haliasos graduated in medicine in 2001 with the highest honor. After receiving a scholarship to Johns Hopkins Medical School, he pursued his research studies there. The famous North Thames London training program, which included Imperial College and University College London Hospitals, picked Mr. Haliasos to train as a neurosurgeon. He qualified as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 2013 and received the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr. Haliasos specializes in treating both spinal and brain issues.
