Mr. D'Urso received his first training in Italy, where he also earned a CCT in neurosurgery and a medical degree. He began his career as a neurosurgeon in Italy in 2009 before moving to the USA for a year to do research at the renowned Mayo Clinic. He relocated to London in 2011 and developed a specialty in surgical neuro-oncology there. At Salford Royal Hospital, Mr. D'Urso was named a consultant neurosurgeon with a focus on neuro-oncology in 2014. He regularly handled general neurosurgical issues such trauma, hydrocephalus, degenerative spine disease, pain control, and peripheral neuropathies necessitating surgical intervention. Mr. D'Urso is also very active in education and training. Additionally, Mr. D'Urso is a reviewer for international neurosurgical journals like World Neurosurgery, Surgical Neurology International, and British Journal of Neurosurgery as well as the author of book chapters on neurosurgery. Mr. Wilson received his medical degree from Sheffield University and completed his plastic surgery residency in Leeds and Manchester. He undertook a traveling fellowship in 1998, spending time in the plastic and hand surgery departments at Nancy, France, Zurich, Switzerland, and Ljubljana, Slovenia. Later, he received training for speciality fellowships in hand and breast surgery in Manchester. Dr. Contractor is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Wythenshawe Hospital of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He received a Commendation for his MBChB from the University of Aberdeen in 2001. He also holds an Intercalated BSc in Molecular and Cell Biology (1st Class Hons) from the same institution, earned in 1999. Dr. Contractor received his SHO training in Australia and Bristol before finishing his interventional cardiologist residency in Manchester. He completed a DPhil (PhD) in the area of ischemia-reperfusion injury and cardioprotective techniques at the University of Oxford in 2012 and has published extensively in this area. Dr. Contractor finished his training on Vancouver Island, Canada, after winning the highly coveted Boston Scientific Interventional Fellowship in 2015. His areas of expertise are difficult angioplasty and chronic complete occlusions, and he has been a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Wythenshawe Hospital since 2016. Dr. Picton graduated in 1990 from the University of Manchester. Renal medicine resident at Salford Royal Hospital, Royal Preston Hospital, and Manchester Royal Infirmary. He received his PhD thesis in 2000. He was hired in 2002 as a consultant nephrologist at Manchester Royal Infirmary, and since 2009, he has served as the department's clinical director for renal medicine.
