A/Prof Asim Shabbir

Head of Surgery at National University Hospital (NUH) and Senior Consultant at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, A/Prof Asim Shabbir (NUS Medicine). At Alexandra Hospital, he oversees general surgery as well. At NUH in Singapore, he finished his basic and advanced surgical training. He received fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the Specialist Accreditation Board recognised him as a surgical specialist in 2007. He completed a clinical fellowship in 2009 at the Seoul National University Hospital, South Korea, with a focus on laparoscopic surgery for stomach cancer. He received a Fellowship in 2010 after completing his bariatric and metabolic surgery training at Eda Hospital, I Shou University Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
