Assoc Prof Chai Josiah

Head of the Department of Neurology at the National Neuroscience Institute and Senior Consultant Dr. Josiah Chai (TTSH Campus). He is also in charge of the National Neuroscience Institute's Neuromuscular Laboratory. His basic specialty training in internal medicine was completed after he received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1994. In 1999, he joined the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He then joined NNI in 2000 and finished his training in neurology in 2003. He completed a two-year fellowship in electromyography and neuromuscular illnesses at the University of Rochester Neuromuscular Center in New York. Neuromuscular illnesses are evaluated and treated as a special interest of Dr. Chai. He examines muscle biopsy samples in addition to performing electromyography examinations.
