BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Dueck earned his medical degree from Queen's University in 1999 and then went on to complete his residency in General Surgery at the University of Toronto. During that time, he earned a Masters degree in clinical epidemiology from the University of Toronto, with a focus on aneurysm care in Ontario. He then went on to complete a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Toronto. Following that, he received additional training in minimally invasive and image-guided cardiovascular surgery at the Arizona Heart Institute. Dr. Dueck is the division head of vascular surgery and co-director of the vascular laboratory at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He is a member of several committees, including the Schulich Heart Executive Committee and the Cardiac Care Network Working Group for vascular surgery in Ontario. He is an associate scientist at the Sunnybrook Research Institute, an Adjunct Scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knolwedge Institute, a member of several medical societies, and a former executive member of the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery.
