Dr Hong Cho Tek Eric

Cardiologist Dr. Eric Hong works at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital. His areas of expertise include non-invasive cardiac imaging such as cardiac CT angiography and PET/SPECT imaging, nuclear cardiology, sports cardiology, interventional cardiology, and cardiac rehabilitation. He is one of the rare cardiologists with formal training in both nuclear and interventional cardiology fellowships. After earning his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1996, Dr. Eric Hong Cho Tek went on to successfully complete the USMLE the following year. Before returning to Singapore to begin his internal medicine residency study, he worked in Ireland. He received his MRCP and became a Member of Royal College of Physicians at Singapore General Hospital after finishing his basic specialist study in internal medicine there (Edinburgh). In addition, Dr. Eric Hong served as Chairman, NTLC, National University Hospital, Singapore, and Clinical Tutor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. From November 2009 until October 2010, he served as a consultant cardiologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he helped establish and provide a 24-hour acute interventional cardiology programme for heart attack patients.From November 2009 until October 2010, he served as a consultant cardiologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he helped establish and provide a 24-hour acute interventional cardiology programme for heart attack patients. The American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the Royal College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (USA), and the Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology have all elected him as a fellow. He has also been elected as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
