"Dr. Rajesh R. Nair is a Professor and the Director of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Services at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi. He specialises in chronic kidney disease, kidney transplantation, transplant immunology, research, and management. He was a key member of the pioneering team that was essential in establishing deceased organ transplantation in the state. He has eighteen years of Nephrology teaching experience and is a member of the Indian and International Societies of Nephrology, the European Dialysis and Transplant Association, and the American Society of Nephrology. He sat on the executive committee of the Indian Society of Nephrology Southern Chapter. He has presented invited talks in a variety of academic settings, published papers in national and international journals, and written chapters for textbooks. Dr. Rajesh Thachathodiyl earned his MBBS and MD (General Medicine) degrees from S.C.B. Medical College Cuttack in Orissa. Dr. Rajesh has worked in Interventional Cardiology for fifteen years.
