Profile (Overview)
Seven hospitals and a cancer centre make up the Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) hospital network, which serves Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In 2022. Hamilton General Hospital (HGH) was the city's first hospital; it was established in 1848. In addition to offering general internal medicine services to its sizable population, it is the location of several of Hamilton Health Sciences' important regional referral programmes, including those for burns, cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, endovascular therapy, extracorporeal life support (ECMO), neurosurgery, stroke, trauma, and vascular surgery. Moreover, it houses the cardiology, neurology, and spine programmes that offer specialised care to our HNHBB residents. In addition to offering cutting-edge care, HGH is closely connected to its community and supports outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing the standard of living in the area.
