Seven hospitals and a cancer centre make up the Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) hospital network, which serves Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The McMaster University Medical Centre (MUMC) has a long history of offering Hamilton residents and patients from all around Ontario access to top-notch medical treatment. The McMaster University-owned Health Sciences Building, where the centre first opened its doors in 1972, served as the foundation for a long heritage of training future generations of healthcare professionals. The location is home to a number of adult specialist clinics, day surgeries, and a nationally acclaimed care and research programme for digestive illnesses. Having recently joined the McMaster University faculty, Dr. Agzarian is an Assistant Professor in the department of thoracic surgery. At McMaster University, he earned his undergraduate and medical degrees. He finished a Masters in Public Health at Harvard University while completing his McMaster General Surgery Residency programme. Dr. Agzarian finished a Fellowship in Advanced Thoracic Oncology and Benign Upper GI Surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, as part of his Thoracic Surgery Residency at McMaster University. Lung and esophageal cancer, as well as benign upper GI diseases and surgery, are clinical interests of Dr. Agzarian. Also, he continues to be actively involved in perioperative care standardisation and clinical outcomes research in the field of thoracic surgery. He continues to write for numerous peer-reviewed journals, publish, and give presentations at conferences across the world. The Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil is where Dr. Luis Braga received his medical training, finished his surgical residency, and earned his master's and doctoral degrees in health sciences. Dr. Braga joined McMaster University's Department of Surgery in 2008 under the Division of Pediatric Urology following completion of a 1-year Pediatric Urology fellowship in Rouen and Lyon (France) and a 3-year Clinical and Research Pediatric Urology fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He obtained his Master's degree in health research methodology from McMaster University in 2010 and is now the director of the McMaster Pediatric Surgical Research Collaboration as well as the research director for the urology residency programme. He also holds joint appointments in the departments of health research methods, evidence, and impact (HEI), and paediatrics, in addition to his position as professor in the department of surgery. Dr. Anthony Adili holds the John A. Baur Chair in Surgery, is President of the McMaster Surgical Associates and McMaster Pediatric Surgical Associates, and is an Associate Professor and Vice-Chair in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University. He serves as the committee chair for the Boris Family Centre for Robotic Surgery and is the chief of surgery and orthopaedics at St. Joseph's Hospital Hamilton.
