Dr. Abi Abraham M has over 27 years of clinical and academic experience (after DM). He specialises in kidney transplantation, critical care nephrology, vasculitis, lupus, and electrolyte problems. He has received three prestigious scholarships, has extensively recognised papers in peer-reviewed journals, is a member of numerous renal societies, and has held managerial roles in organisations. He was a Nephrology Associate Professor at Christian Medical College in Vellore. In the previous 16 years, Lakeshore Hospital has performed over 1600 renal transplants. He has successfully done multiple challenging kidney transplants, including those that were across blood groups, sensitised, re-transplanted, geriatric, and paediatric transplants. He has successfully established a huge maintenance dialysis programme. Dr. George P. Abraham has personally conducted over 2500 kidney transplants over a 25-year span. He specialises in the surgical treatment of complicated urological problems. Has 32 years of endourological surgery experience. He is the world's third surgeon to conduct a living donor laparoscopic renal transplant. He also performed Kerala's first Cadaver Transplant, PCNL, Lap Donor Nephrectomy 3D laparoscopy. He pioneered endourological operations in Kerala, performing 15,000 of them. He has successfully completed over 8500 PCNL cases, 12000 URS cases, and over 12000 TURP cases. More than 8000 laparoscopic urological procedures and roughly 2500 renal transplants have been performed. Dr. Jacob Varghese received his MBBS in 1985 from Kasturba Manipal College Manipal, his D.Orth in 1988, his MS Ortho in 1989 from Kasturba Medical College Manipal, his Mch orth in 1995 from Liverpool University, and his Down Corning Upper Limb Fellowship in 1995. In July 2014, Dr. Shawn T Joseph established the Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Department at VPS Lakeshore Hospital. Since then, the department has grown to be one of the best in the country, capable of addressing the most complex head and neck cancer cases. Dr. V.P. Gangadharan Started as a radiotherapy and medical oncology tutor at Thrissur Medical College. In 1989, he was appointed Assistant Professor and Head of Medical Oncology at RCC, Trivandrum.The Medical Oncology Department at RCC was the first of its type in Kerala. With NCI and WHO fellowships, she completed a bone marrow transplantation training programme in the United States and the United Kingdom. He has worked as a teacher in graduate and postgraduate training programmes, as well as an examiner for the DM Medical Oncology programme at several Indian universities. He has given invited scientific speeches in over sixty seminars and professional meetings. He has actively participated in the mission of teaching the public about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment through numerous camps and classes, as well as pieces in newspapers, periodicals, and audiovisual media. He founded the Cochin Cancer Society in order to provide cancer care to needy and impoverished cancer patients and to ensure that no patient is denied treatment due to a lack of funds. In 1995, she received training in bone marrow transplantation at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, and in 1997, she received training at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, UK, and she was awarded Fellowships from the National Cancer Institute in the United States and the World Health Organization. Participated as the Principal Investigator in thirty-eight national and international multicenter clinical studies and served as the research advisor for ten postgraduate research theses, including those in Ayurveda and music. He has actively participated in the mission of teaching the public about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment through numerous camps and classes, articles in daily, publications, and multimedia media.
