He has a particular clinical and academic interest in this field, so it is encouraging to learn that he will conduct population-based research at King's Dubai. Dr. Khan also brings to our door a wealth of experience in endoscopic ultrasound. When compared to CT or MRI, EUS is a relatively newer technique that accurately detects gastrointestinal, biliary, and pancreatic problems that sometimes go undetected. It also makes it possible for radiotherapy and oncology-based regimens to treat cancers more successfully. In keeping with King's legacy, Dr. Khan not only performs these procedures but is also a certified EUS trainer. We are happy that he has plans to teach other doctors in the Gulf region so they can better serve larger patient populations there. Dr. Khan will conduct specialised clinics for complex liver diseases, including a liver transplant clinic, at Kings in addition to general GI disorders. View Profile
