Tetralogy of Fallot
Tetralogy of Fallot is a congenital cardiac condition characterised by four congenital heart defects. The four flaws include a ventricular septal defect (VSD), pulmonary stenosis, a misplaced aorta, and a thicker right ventricular wall.
ventricular septal defect
A ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a cardiac birth abnormality in which a hole in the wall (septum) divides the two lower chambers of the heart (ventricles).
Pulmonary vascular disease
PVD refers to any ailment affecting the blood vessels of the lungs. From the right side of the heart, these arteries transport oxygen-depleted blood to the lungs. The pulmonary arteries carry deoxygenated blood to the lungs, where it is absorbed.
Transposition of the great arteries
The major pulmonary artery and the aorta are exchanged in position, or "transposed," in Dextro-Transposition of the Great Arteries (d-TGA). Because a child born with this abnormality may require surgery or other operations shortly after birth.
Sinus atrial defects
SVASD (sinus venosus atrial septal defect) is an uncommon adult congenital heart defect that allows blood to be shunted from the systemic to the pulmonary circulation and is frequently linked with abnormal pulmonary venous return.
Pulmonary atresia
Pulmonary atresia is a cardiac birth abnormality in which the valve that regulates blood flow from the heart to the lungs does not develop properly. Blood flow to the lungs to pick up oxygen for the body is obstructed in neonates.
Structural heart disease
Defects or diseases in the heart's structure, such as its valves, are known as structural heart disease. structural heart disease may be congenital, or it can occur from age or underlying conditions causing wear and tear on the heart later in life.
hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS)
Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) is a congenital cardiac abnormality that disrupts normal blood flow. The left side of the heart does not develop adequately throughout pregnancy as the infant grows.
Post-Streptococcal Glomerulonephritis (PSGN)
PSGN (post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis) is an uncommon kidney condition caused by group A strep infections. Preventing group A strep infections is the most effective strategy to avoid PSGN.
Congenital cardiac defects
A abnormality in the heart's structure is known as a congenital heart defect. It is present from the moment you are born. The most frequent birth abnormality is congenital cardiac abnormalities.
Congenital heart diseases
A issue in the structure of the heart is known as a congenital heart defect. It's already there when you're born. The most frequent form of birth abnormality is congenital heart disease.
