Profile (Overview)

The comprehensive cancer centre for northern Alberta is Cross Cancer Institute. One of two tertiary cancer centres in the province, the Wallace Warren Cross Institute is situated in Edmonton not far from the southwest corner of the University of Alberta. A leading centre for the province-wide prevention, research, and treatment initiative is the Cross Cancer Institute. The facility offers sophisticated medical and supportive cancer care, inpatient and outpatient services, as well as patient and professional education. Through the Alberta Cancer Research Institute, the Cross Cancer Institute carries out research. The Cross Cancer Institute is home to the Department of Oncology, a division of the University of Alberta's School of Medicine and Dentistry. The division provides training in palliative care, radiation oncology, and medical oncology.

In her hometown of Jacksonville, where she went to Stanton College Preparatory High School, Dr. Wells grew up. She earned a psychology degree from the University of Florida in 2006. She graduated from Florida State University College of Medicine with a medical degree in 2010, and she finished her residency training at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Infants in Orlando. She joined our private practise in 2014 because she wanted to work at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, which specialises in high-risk pregnancies. She is looking forward to establishing her life in Jacksonville and continuing to provide her patients with the greatest care for many years to come.
