Profile (Overview)
An academic medical facility with more than 1,000 beds, Changi General Hospital (CGH) serves the more than 1 million residents of Singapore. It is led by a knowledgeable and experienced team of healthcare professionals who regularly provide patients with excellent care and a wide range of medical specialties. The CGH is a part of the SingHealth network of medical facilities. The mission of CGH is to advance comprehensive, patient-centered care for the communities it serves by offering services that go beyond hospital walls and support local efforts to regain and maintain health. It accomplishes this by innovating and working closely with many people both inside and outside the healthcare business to generate new ideas and add value. The Integrated Building and the Medical Center, two structures that focus on providing acute, critical, emergency, and diagnostic services, were added to the CGH campus in 2014 and 2018, respectively. The Integrated Building provides a comfortable atmosphere for patients throughout the hospital as well as in a rehabilitation setting, with the goal of maximising functionality and assisting the transition of patients back to their homes. The Medical Centre operates a number of outpatient multi-specialty centres that offer complex ambulatory care. It is equipped with over 130 consultation rooms for specialty outpatient care and minor surgery, making it possible for multidisciplinary consultation and acting as a one-stop centre that offers more patient-centered care.
